 Cargo Commercial Vehicles Aiport has a vacancy for a Administrator: Dealer Warranty & Costing (Warranty & Costing Clerk) reporting to the Service Manager.

Position Overview

The person in this position will be responsible for ensuring that costing job cards are processed accurately within Company Policy and procedures and to process warranty claims timeously and accurately in terms of Company Policy and Procedures.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurate costing of job cards within Company Policy and Procedures
  • Marry up invoices, outwork invoices and orders to respective job cards
  • Perform all calculations within correct mark-up
  • Clear in advance all accounts with debtors
  • Check all repair orders have been signed by the owner
  • Check technicians record of work is completed
  • Check recorded Technicians clock times
  • Check parts department confirmation of parts supplied, and have been signed by the Service Advisor
  • Invoicing and marking up
  • Process warranty claims in terms of Company Policy and Procedures (accurately and timeously)
  • Obtain correct information on warranty claim regarding Customer complaint and cause of defect
  • Obtain all relevant documentation pertaining to claim
  • Ensure that claim tags are attached to parts and forwarded in time
  • Check suspense file daily
  • Control claims status and report to Manager
  • Control claims register and ensure that payment is received
  • Assess vehicles eligibility for warranty work
  • Check and confirm that all warranty parts have been tagged and stored by the Technicians correctly on a daily basis
  • Assess and submit warranty claims in line with guidelines as set out by the distributor
  • Assist with any other reasonable duties if and when required
  • Attend all training courses as held by the distributor.
Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of Grade 12 (NQ Level 4 equivalant)
  • Motor industry experience will an advantage
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skill
  • Computer literacy is essential
